The Penguin Run/Walk to benefit the endangered African penguin will take place at 9 a.m. Oct. 17 at Mystic Aquarium, 55 Coogan Blvd., Mystic.
The event will include a 5K run, a 2-mile family-friendly walk, a 1/4-mile kid’s race and a penguin race that will take place in the aquarium’s Foxwoods Marine Theater after the awards ceremony.
Participants are invited to enjoy light refreshments after the race, before taking advantage of free admission to the aquarium that day.
